Ottawa’s second application contest is kicking off and it’s going to be bigger and better than the first.

These apps are intended to help people get around the city, including public transit, driving, cycling, and walking.

These apps are aimed at supporting leisure and fun in Ottawa, including recreation, museums, cultural events, libraries, and other activites.

These apps are designed to help people to understand what’s happening in their city regardless of subject matter, and they may encourage the public to get involved in civic and community events.

This brand new category will encourage the development of digital presentations and analysis of City data in order to help provide a better understanding of the City and its operations.
The City of Ottawa is committed to improving citizen engagement, and enhancing transparency and accountability by providing public access to its data. To encourage the meaningful and productive use of this data, the City has launched another Open Data contest.
The contest seeks to reward developers of the most useful, creative, and effective applications, data analyses, and visualizations, which utilize the City of Ottawa’s OpenData.
